About this Event
You’ve seen Tom Stade on Channel 4’s Comedy Gala, BBC One’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, The John Bishop Show, Live at the Apollo and many many more. He is stand-up comedy royalty and incapable of disappointing, and he’s coming to the Craicfriars stage at Blackfriars of Bell St.
“Unmissable” - Edinburgh Evening News
“So cool… gloriously funny.” – The Scotsman
“Swagger of a rock star, charisma of a talk show host. Hilarious.” - Warrington Guardian
"Sack loads of charm, poise and free-flowing spontaneity. Mischievous, high-spirited, no-nonsense stand-up from an expertly skilled pro.” - Chortle
“Every inch a star. If comedy is the new rock and roll, then Tom Stade is Keith Richards.” – Daily Record
“Huge presence. Really knows how to work a room. Attitude and energy. Properly hilarious, thoroughly enjoyable.” - The Mirror
Tom Stade's support act for the night is Scottish comedy rising star Gareth Mutch. As well as touring frequently with Tom, Gareth has also been the support act of choice for Iain Stirling (Voice of Love Island), and he was featured on BBC Scotland’s The Comedy Underground and STV’s The Edinburgh Festival Show.
‘Gareth’s Stand up style is engaging, candid and renders him immediately likable possibly even loveable’ – Arcadia Magazine.
‘Storming Performance’ – The Skinny.
'One of the finest storytelling comics on the Scottish comedy scene' - DailyBusinessGroup.co.uk
‘Energetic and animated delivery’ – The Wee Review.
**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
• Tickets can be refunded or exchanged no less than one week before a show, and can only be exchanged no less than 24 hours before the show.
• Line-ups can be subject to change at short notice.
• This show is in two parts separated by one interval. Doors open at 7pm, one hour before the start time of 8pm. Please arrive before the show starts but not before 7pm. Attendees who arrive more than 10 minutes late will not be granted admission or a refund.
• Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule…
• Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography.
• If your chair is not facing the stage when you come in, please rotate it when the show starts.
• These shows are for people aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age.
• Craicfriars Comedy does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance.
• Exceptions to rules are at the discretion of Craicfriars Comedy. Audience members who repeatedly break these rules will be asked to leave.
