Freddie Benedict – Sinatra & Jobim
Acclaimed British jazz vocalist Freddie Benedict brings the timeless music of Frank Sinatra and Antônio Carlos Jobim to Notting Hill on 25 September, celebrating one of jazz and bossa nova’s most iconic musical partnerships.
A former lead male vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Freddie has established himself as a distinctive voice on the London jazz scene, performing at venues including Ronnie Scott’s, The Savoy, The Ritz and Crazy Coqs. He also speaks Portuguese, having studied Spanish and Portuguese at King’s College London from 2014–2018, giving him a particularly close connection to the language and culture behind much of Jobim’s music.
With a natural affinity for both the Great American Songbook and Brazilian music, Freddie’s warm, understated vocal style is perfectly suited to the intimate sound world created by Sinatra and Jobim.
