This April marks his return with his long-awaited third album 'The Orchestra of Stories'.
Tom Hickox is a singer, songwriter and composer specialising in the art of storytelling through music. This concert will feature arrangements created especially for the evening from Hickox’s two acclaimed existing albums as well as from The Orchestra of Stories, in which he weaves together a rich tapestry of human narratives, brought to life with grand orchestral ambition and intricate detail. Renowned for his celebrated storytelling and rich baritone, Hickox promises a cinematic sweep of a show, brimming with drama and poignancy.
Tom Hickox rose to recognition with his 2014 debut album War, Peace and Diplomacy (Fierce Panda), which was followed in 2017 by the acclaimed Monsters In The Deep – lauded by the likes of The Sunday Times (“literate chamber pop at its most haunting, poetic and complex”), MOJO (“this one’s a keeper,” 4-stars) and Louder Than War (“An album that absorbs and achieves”).
KATE AGERSKOW is a singer-songwriter from Hull, UK. With influences including Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor and Elbow, Kate writes sweeping, melodic, piano-based songs with lyrics that explore themes such as love, travel, and sanctuary. After the success of her debut EP 'Saltlines' in November 2024, Kate launched her latest single 'Winter Hymn' in July 2025 with an intimate show in her hometown of Beverley, East Yorkshire.
