Plus, I will will have the honor of introducing the woman who very literally saved my life this year.
Please bring your generosity and your Olde Church Good Vibes. I know you will, and thank you all so much."
It's a night of love and community!
Tom Chapin is a three-time Grammy winner. The singer, songwriter and longtime community activist performs for audiences of all ages, sometimes with his own band or various permutations of his extremely talented family. In December, he will be wrapping up a family tour featuring the music of his late brother, Harry Chapin. The Olde Church show will be a solo performance.
Connecticut-based singer-songwriter Christopher Bosquet led the internationally acclaimed High Lonesome Plains. He has performed with such luminaries as Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Mercury Rev, Miracle Legion, John Sebastian, Asleep at the Wheel, Rhett Miller, Mark Mulcahy, The Turtles, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Susan Cowsill. As a special treat he will be joined for one number by singer Gypsy McKenzie, a former resident of Rosette Neighborhood Village.
Singer-songwriter Frank Critelli serves as host for the Olde Church Acoustic Series. Poet, philosopher, raconteur, busker, disc jockey, teacher, gardener — all these and more describe Critelli, a tireless advocate and beacon for local music whose voice soars higher and stronger than Castle Craig in his hometown, Meriden.
Rosette Neighborhood Village is a community built in the backyard of New Haven’s Amistad Catholic Worker. It is entirely funded by charitable donations. The village uses cost-saving modular home technology to house people safely and affordably. Though places like this exist around the country, Rosette is the only such community in Connecticut. Rosette is managed by the residents, who make and enforce the rules and do the daily work to keep the complex going.
