He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in nearby Willowick, Ohio. He has been a Nashville-based musician since 1992.Bukovac began playing guitar at age eight, and performed his first shows at age thirteen at his mothers bar, The Surfside Lounge, in Eastlake, Ohio. He moved to Nashville in 1992 to pursue a career as a guitarist.Bukovac has played on over 1200 albums, including projects by The Black Keys, Morgan Wallen, Ann Wilson, The Struts, Yola, Steven Tyler, Stevie Nicks, Bob Seger, John Oates, Joan Osborne, Vince Gill, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Hank Williams Jr., Sheryl Crow, Don Henley, Carrie Underwood, Richard Marx, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Willie Nelson, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Kenny Loggins, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, LeAnn Rimes, Florida Georgia Line, Lionel Richie, Joe Cocker, and The Beach Boys among many others.Tom has also won the Academy Of Country Music guitar player of the year award four times 2008-2010-2016 and 2021In addition, Bukovac has toured with Ann Wilson (2022), Joe Walsh (2017 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour); Vince Gill (2016); John Fogerty; Faith Hill; Trigger Hippy; Wynonna Judd; Tanya Tucker, and others.----------Over the past two decades, Guthrie Trapp has become a world-renowned rising star of the guitar, with an amazing life story and musical journey that continues to evolve in surprising new directions, with no end in sight.Growing up in the FloraBama region of the Gulf Coast, he fell in love with music at a very early age, and his parents Joe and Mary introduced him to many styles and genres.At the age of six began playing the harmonica.Picking up the guitar at nine years old, and playing music everyday after school with his uncle Jerry, he joined his first band at 12 years old, and began playing the local clubs, festivals, and talent contests, winning consecutive statewide competitions on both mandolin and guitar at 15 and 16.At the age of 18 he made his first trip to Nashville, playing on Gove Scrivenors album Shine On, which also featured guest stars including John Prine, Nanci Griffith, and Ray Flacke.He also performed and recorded with singer/songwriter Nick Branch as the duo Filthy Rich, touring the U.S. and Europe for several years, before moving to Nashville fulltime in 2001.From humble beginnings in Music City, Trapp has gradually created his own guitar-centric universe, with a mind-boggling career path full of surprises, chance encounters and major collaborations.
