TOKOS BAND (TRANSYLVANIA) LIVE CONCERT & SOCIAL DANCE HALL LONDON

Join us for an ordinary night of Hungarian Transylvanian live folk music concert and social dance hall on Saturday, November 11 at The Catholic Centre in Chiswick, London!

We will have traditional live music from the Carpathian Basin, Hungary and Transylvania, an amazing concert, some dance workshops, group dances and social dancing till midnight.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about traditional Hungarian culture and to experience the joy of folk dancing. Also, it's a great way to meet new people.

A professional folk music band is coming from Transylvania to play traditional Hungarian instrumental music at the event.

Bar: A bar is operating at the venue. Beer, wine, schnapps, soft drinks, water and snacks are on sale. Please respect the house rules and do not bring your own booze. Cash only, please!

About Tokos Band:

The Tokos Band was founded in the early 2010s by five students of the Cluj (Kolozsvár) Academy of Music. Their goal was primarily to entertain the local youth. In 2014, they won the “Fölszállott a páva” folk music talent show. In 2017, they presented their first album "Hallgassáts meg magyarim". The members of the band play in the Hungarian Theater and the Opera in Cluj-Napoca. They are regular performers at various festivals in the Carpathian Basin and on several big stages around the world. Lately, they also played personally for King Charles III. They are also invested in children's instrumental and vocal education. They teach in several music schools in Transylvania, as well as leading teachers of the Folk Music School of the Kallós Foundation. In addition to the concerts, folk dance camps and social dancing events, they often hold children’s sessions where they introduce this beautiful world of folk music to the younger generations.
