💥COSMIC SISTERS. A WARNING CALL & THE RETURN OF THE KING’S DAUGHTERS
🗓️23 & 25 October, 20:00
📍PLYFA (Koritsas 39, Athina 104 47)
In her solo performance, Greek actress Lydia Polyzoi rewrites Hecuba’s lament with her own experiences as a woman, artist and citizen in contemporary Athens. From her voice emerge others: the “cosmic sisters” from South Africa, Cameroon, Iran, Canada/Germany and Greece. Together they create a walk-in radio play – a sound space where forgotten daughters of ancient stories and erased cultures return through music, poetry and sound. Between pop, opera, indigenous chants and electronic textures, they compose Songs of Future Care and open a sonic journey through colonial pasts and imagined futures.

💥REMARKS ON POLITICS AND CARE (HEALING) | DISCUSSION WITH STEVEN CORCORAN
🗓️24 October, 16:00 - 17:00
📍Inter Alia 2nd Floor Community Space (Valtetsiou 50-52)
At a time when then neoliberal economy and reactionary forms of politics are increasingly dominating every aspect of life (from love to health and ecology), the notion of care and its cognates (therapy, healing…) are, unsurprisingly, coming increasingly to the fore.
What I would like to discuss in this talk is how we can understand the link between politics and care implied by the “and” in the title. While the link between state and socio-economic violence and the traumas it inflicts is clear, that between emancipatory politics and healing is more obscure. At issue here will be less to invite the psycho-(analyst/therapist) into the space of the political meeting, than to understand how we might think of radical politics itself as enabling its own specific forms of healing.
In doing so, I will make some remarks on how political organization is key to this specificity and how we might understand the principles underlying it.

💥PASSAGES: DOWN TO THE WIRE | COMMUNITY AND CARE AROUND PERFORMING ARTS
🗓️24 October, 17:00 - 20:00
📍Inter Alia 2nd Floor Community Space (Valtetsiou 50-52)
We invite people from all fields of art, the practice of which includes or culminates in performance, to participate in an exploration of oral histories exchange.
We aim to give space and voice to creators that struggle in their artistic path due to financial, social or personal circumstances – such as gender, origin, language, multiple roles undertaken in daily life. It is a new attempt at the act of creation against the challenges of production, exposure and survival that artists face today.
On 24 October, from 17:00 to 20:00, we expect you at Inter Alia’s 2nd Floor Community Space (Valtetsiou 50-52), along with a personal item of your choice, which carries symbolic value for the intersection of your artistic and personal journey. We invite you to share your story with us, which will then be placed alongside a wider attempt to explore collective and personal experiences around displacement in all of its shapes and forms.
You can state your participation here.

💥DEEP ARTIST TALK: KASIA WOJCIK
🗓️25 October, 12.00
📍Akadimia Platonos (Monastiriou 140)*
Kasia Wojcik is a curator, dramaturg, and writer whose work explores the intersection of art, politics, and embodied fragility. Rooted in a migration biography and shaped by the experience of chronic illness, her practice treats vulnerability as both a condition and a method — a way of curating and thinking through care, endurance, and poetic resistance. Her work maps an ongoing search for tenderness within systems of power, where fragility becomes a form of knowledge and resistance.

💥Hiding in the Plain Site. Decolonial Analysis of Imperial Narratives in Contemporary Russian Philosophy and Politics, Discussion with Vica Kravtsova, Marina Solntseva, Denis Esakov
🗓️25 October, 14:00
📍Akadimia Platonos (Monastiriou 140)*
The discussion will examine the implications of the spread of Russian pseudo-decolonial, esoteric currents of thought for a broader legitimization of new imperial narratives as means to resist "the West". The participants will present the results of their ongoing research and auto-theoretic artistic practice, engaging in critical dialogue with existing scholarship. The talk will contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the ideological underpinnings of contemporary Russian politics.
