We’re excited to announce our next Togetherhood project: Valley Hope Foundation Distribution Project – Tuesday, 8/25, 9:30am-1pm (location: 1035 Old US Hwy 70 W Black Mountain, NC).
Togetherhood is the Y's volunteer service program that empowers members to strengthen their community. It makes giving back simple and rewarding by bringing people together to serve, connect, and create a lasting impact. It's a wonderful opportunity to do meaningful work outside the walls of the YMCA while building relationships with fellow YMCA members.
This volunteer opportunity will support the Valley Hope Foundation's food distribution, which provides fresh food and produce to families throughout our region. Volunteers are essential to making these distributions possible.
This is what we will be doing:
• Organize and stage food for distribution
• Sort and pack fresh produce
• Guide families through the distribution process
• Support event logistics
• Offer a warm, welcoming presence to community members
