Together We Ball -Skills and Drills Camp Registration
About this Event
Project Unity is excited to host another amazing Skills and Drills Camp as part of our Together We Ball event! The camp is for 4th - 6th grade students at any level of basketball learning from any school in the metroplex. Students will learn important basketball skills, techniques, character building, interact with a diverse group of youth from the metroplex and spend time with police officers who will join in on the fun! Thanks to our partnership with the Dallas Mavericks, we are able to host this camp at no cost for community youth.
Requirements:
- Must be in grades 4th, 5th and 6th only in any public, private, charter or home school
- Must register by Tuesday, August 18, 5:00 p.m.
- Siblings are welcome within the grade parameters, but each child must be registered individually.
- Parent or adult chaperone must attend the camp. No drop offs allowed. Exception is if a youth group is attending and has multiple chaperones (one per 5 youths suggested).

- Participate in a learning session with basketball game referees
- Live DJ, face painting and other fun stations
- Parents can take part in educational safety trainings during the camp. Why sit and scroll on your phone when you can take part in sessions that can create a safe environment for your family. Sessions: Gun Safety and Internet Safety. Parents receive free lunch during the event by attending both sessions, but you must register!

Camp at a Glance:
- 9:00 a.m. - Police vehicle showcase/Event check-in/Breakfast/Court free play
- 10:00 a.m. - Skills and Drills Youth Camp
*Campers will take part in a variety of basketball drills to help sharpen their skills and understanding of basketball. Police officers will be on the court running and learning, too!
*Parent safety sessions: Gun Safety and Internet Safety. These important sessions are provided by the Dallas Police Department. Parents who attend receive a free lunch! You must pre-register.
- 12:00 p.m. - Lunch for campers and participating parents
-1:00 p.m. - Blow the Whistle! Time with the Referees!
*This learning session allows campers to see the game through the eyes of the referees
- 2:00p.m. - Camp closing with the Chiefs
- 2:30 p.m. - Exploration Stations and Giveaways
*As the event comes to a close, campers will visit various learning stations provided by the police department where they will learn about the different jobs in law enforcement, pick up goodies, as well as enjoy face painting, walk through the "snack pantry" and pick up snacks for their first weeks of school.
