Ada Lis Jimena is a native of Mendoza, Argentina. She earned her B.M. degree in Music Education from the Music School of the National University of Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina, and her MM degree in Evaluation in Education from Playa Ancha University of Educational Sciences, Chile. She also was granted a scholarship to study and perform Art Songs with the German Coach Guillermo Opitz in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ms. Jimena made her operatic debut performing the role of La Principessa in Puccini's Suor Angelica. The following season she sang the title role in Bizet's Carmen.
Since moving to the United States, Ms. Jimena has sung for different organizations and music companies, including "Opera Roanoke” in Virginia, "Festival Summer Bel Canto” in Michigan, and "Summer Musical Enterprise" in Blacksburg, VA. She has performed several concerts and given lectures about Argentinian, Catalonian, Spanish, and French music.
Internationally acclaimed pianist Tom Roberts and violinist Warren Davidson will appear with Ms. Jimena.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through Brown Paper Tickets: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/5675849 . Adults $15. Students (K-12) $10. Tickets purchased at the concert are $20/$15 (credit card processing fees will apply). Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments can be purchased before the show and during intermission. Please bring a mask, should it be required. If you forget a mask, complimentary masks will be available for concertgoers.
