SPEAK OF THE DEVIL
Speak of the Devil, a shortened name taken from an old saying "speak of the devil and he shall appear" but when this band name is said aloud, a fiery set of music erupts as a must see from this hard-hitting rock threesome. SOTD have cultivated their signature sound by creating a full sonic wall of tones from just drums and one guitar influenced by old school metal, punk, and modern rock, with their high energy vocal performances influenced by rap and hip-hop.
Jinx Stringer has crafted a full- bodied guitar tone from his experience in such bands as Brand New Unit, and together with long-time friend and drummer Joe Party, collaborating in bands such as Burn Hollywood Burn, they bring a level of rock that can only come to be expected. Meanwhile, Jinx’s old high-school mate Chad Bechard (formerly of Big City Groove) brings his high energy and stylish vocals and together as SOTD, their chemistry is perfectly aligned.
While their musical influences range from Motorhead to Public Enemy, SOTD still look to create infectious musical hooks along with deadly guitar riffs that leave listeners chanting ‘Speak of the Devil’ for more of the same.

Their new album ‘Modified’ is the answer to their “true school” style and approach to Hip Hop, as they seamlessly combine the best of yesterday and today's hip hop in daring fashion. ‘Modified’ exemplifies the definition: "to make minor changes, to customize or improve something". The album captures the energy and elements of classic hip hop creating the 'True School' modified sound.
