Join us for a very special screening of Tod Browning's 1932 cult classic social horror film FREAKS. The film will be presented by National Book Award Finalist and New York Times Best Selling Author Dan Chaon, who's novel One of Us is out from Henry Holt and Co. September 23rd.
Synopsis
Tod Browning's Freaks is a 1932 horror film about a group of traveling circus performers with physical differences who seek revenge on a beautiful trapeze artist, Cleopatra, and her strongman lover, Hercules. Cleopatra schemes to marry Hans, a wealthy little person, and poison him for his inheritance. When the circus performers, referred to as "freaks," discover her treacherous plot, they exact vengeance.
