Join Mustangs Northwest for an inspiring evening with club member Dr. James Joki, former NASA engineer and Apollo 11 Extravehicular Mobility Unit Flight Controller. Dr. Joki helped develop and test the EMU — the spacesuit and backpack worn by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin during humanity’s first steps on the Moon!Experience history firsthand as Dr. Joki shares personal stories from inside Mission Control during several Moon landings, and marvel at original artifacts and photographs from the Apollo era.
