About this Event
Destination Mars: The New Frontier explores the work being done around the globe to help make the dream of getting humans to Mars a reality. Guests will fly through the International Space Station, where astronauts are already living and working in space. They will follow the rockets and vehicles that will take humans beyond the Moon and, one day, all the way to Mars and travel along as they imagine this remarkable journey. This program features the voice of Dr. Mae C. Jemison, physician, scientist, teacher and first black woman NASA astronaut.
Additionally, this three show program will also include Seasonal Star Gazing, a brief overview of the current night sky, and Unveiling the Invisible Universe. This third feature shows that light is not the only source of information we have about the cosmos. Unveiling the Invisible Universe presents images of the cosmos as revealed by different messengers, such as neutrinos and cosmic rays.
