Volunteering for an hour or two at the park is a great way to learn about native plants and to envision what ones will work best in your yard. Come and join the group working in the park and enjoy the beauty and fellowship.
Helping at Native Park is a great way to learn about native plants that grow well in our area, get to know other members, and support the pollinators that depend on these plants to survive.
Native Park was established in 1923 by the Avondale Garden Circle for plant life study. The park was adopted by our Ixia Chapter in January, 2010 under the City's Friends of the Park program. This designation gives the Chapter a role in the planning, development, and care-taking of Native Park.
