Tkaronto Open III - Women's Jingle Dress

Tkaronto Open is a celebration of Indigenous culture and beauty, presenting the highest level of showmanship among Indigenous dancers from across Turtle Island. This powwow style competition will feature Women’s Jingle Dress: Old Style vs Contemporary. Come celebrate with us in the West Wing at Toronto’s Union Station, in the heart of the city. Indigenous music and dance have the power to heal you in ways you didn’t know you needed.

Registration for contestants: $25 + fees*

*Registration fee is nonrefundable and all proceeds will be donated to .

*Contestants must be 18+ to register.

!!Participants will be able to select their category (Old Style / Contemporary) AFTER registering and paying the registration fee!!

Participants can register online in advance (until Friday, September 26). Same day registrations will be accepted on the day of the event in person at Union.

Doors will open at 11:00 AM and the competition will start at 1:00 PM.
WOMEN’S JINGLE DRESS: OLD STYLE VS CONTEMPORARY
(the best of Old Style and the best of Contemporary Jingle Dress contestant will compete for the first place in the finale)

FIRST PLACE: $1,500 CAD
2ND: $800 CAD / 3RD: $600 CAD / 4TH: $400 CAD

The winner of Tkaronto Open III will be invited to perform at the closing event of FFDN 2025 - Up Next - on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, 2025.
