After years of chasing trophies as a hockey scout, TJ Wharry gave up his four figure salary to become a comedian and trophy husband in the comedy Mecca of Lafayette, IN. Wharry blends his razor sharp joke writing and a charming story telling style to his stories of his chaotic childhood, expulsions from school and his days as a gang member in the suburbs of Detroit to finishing college, becoming a hockey scout and and being married to a world-traveling engineering professor/Pinterest superstar. There is nobody else quite like TJ.
TJ performs in clubs all over North America and Chernobyl one time. He has opened for stars like Dave Attell, Fortune Feimster, and Russell Howard, co-produces the Laughayette Comedy Festival and Idaho Laughfest, was 2023 Runner-Up in Indiana’s Funniest at Helium, a finalist in the 2018 Trial By Laughter on Comcast, and his writing credits include Comedy Central: Social Scene.
