In this concert TJ and his Band will be performing songs from his new album Down Home Blues, plus some other great Jazz and Blues favourites. Across his prolific career, TJ has released and featured on a multitude of albums, both with The TJ Johnson Band and Bourbon Kick, also solo recordings, and featuring as a sideman with the likes of Max Collie.

Backed by his group of top London-based musicians, TJ plays an extraordinary blend of music that transcends the boundaries of Jazz, Blues, Soul, Country and Gospel and is influenced by some of the greats such as Ray Charles, Dr John, Louis Armstrong, Willie Nelson, BB King, Nina Simone, Alberta Hunter, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Witherspoon and many more. His distinctive voice and unique personal stage manner bring both the band and the audience together to create an intimate yet exciting atmosphere that is rarely equalled.
