Compositora, arranjadora, pianista e produtora, Isabel Rato é uma figura
destacada no jazz em Portugal.
Com formação em Piano Jazz, teve como mentor João Paulo Esteves da Silva e estudou com músicos renomados como John Taylor e Fred Hersch.
Para este concerto, Isabel Rato apresentar-se-á em quarteto, com João
Capinha nos saxofones alto e soprano, Gonçalo Leonardo no contrabaixo
e Alexandre Alves na bateria.

Composer, arranger, pianist, and producer, Isabel Rato is a prominent
figure in the Portuguese Jazz scene.
With a background in Jazz Piano, she was mentored by João Paulo Esteves da Silva and studied with renowned musicians such as John Taylor and Fred Hersch.
For this concert, Isabel will perform in a quartet with João Capinha on
alto and soprano saxophones, Gonçalo Leonardo on double bass and
Alexandre Alves on drums.
