Pittsburgh, this Independence Day there's no better way to spend it than sweating to the good stuff. TITLE TOWN Soul & Funk Party takes over Spirit on Saturday, July 4th for five uninterrupted hours of rare soul and funk, strictly on vinyl.
While the city lights up the sky, we'll be lighting up the dance floor - Northern soul, deep funk, Motown, Latin boogaloo - early '60s to late '70s, handpicked records for one of the best dance floors in the city. Ruby Andrews, James Brown, The Precisions, The Temptations, Margie Joseph, Joe Bataan, and plenty more.

Bringing freshness to Pittsburgh since 2009, TITLE TOWN stays true to its original sound, residents J.Malls & Gordy G. take you on a journey across the musical landscape – resurrecting deep soul, funk, Motown, and disco cuts from the early-1960s through the late 1980s – mixing up rarities from Honey & The Bees, The Third Guitar, and Family of Eve with stone cold classics from Aretha, James Brown, Sister Sledge, The Spinners, Curtis Mayfield, Gwen McCrae, and more.
