The Tipton County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is pleased to share an opportunity for advanced training, national networking, and professional development through the 2026 National CERT Conference hosted by the National CERT Association.
This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the CERT Program, a nationally recognized initiative originally developed by the Los Angeles Fire Department and expanded nationwide by FEMA.
The 2026 conference theme, “Stronger Communities Start Here,” highlights the foundational role CERT plays in building resilient, prepared communities across the United States.
Participants will engage in:
* Three days of hands-on pre-conference training
* Two and a half days of breakout sessions and continuing education
* National-level collaboration with CERT leaders, emergency managers, and volunteers
* Exposure to best practices aligned with FEMA and national CERT doctrine
