"Tip-A-Cops ” are fun-filled fundraisers for Special Olympics that bond the community and develop partnerships. Partnering with Texas Roadhouse, law enforcement agencies provide personnel to serve as “celebrity waiters”. During their duties, the agency personnel educate the customers about the event and Special Olympics while soliciting “tips” as donations. The “tips” collected are in addition to those given to the restaurant servers. All donations go to help support athlete training and competition opportunities year-round.
