Come along to learn the basics of composting- how to start a compost bin, what to put into your compost bin, and how to make successful, high-quality compost for your garden. We will also be up-cycling some buckets into bokashi buckets (fermented food scraps). Learn how to do this and what it is.
This workshop is suited for anyone, no prior composting experience required. Thanks to The Canterbury Community Garden Association, this workshop is made possible, free to the community.
Bring along any organic matter that you have to contribute to the compost pile; fruit & veggie scraps, coffee grounds, lawn clippings (spray free), weeds (non-invasive), general garden clippings.
