Tetra Pak printing provides a varied introduction to the Intaglio and Collagraph printing methods, suitable for both beginner and experienced printmakers. In this hands-on workshop, participants will score, scratch, cut and peel into the foil side of cleaned Tetra Pak to create plates. These drypoint-like plates are then inked and printed using a small etching press. This is a great opportunity to experience a real printmaking press and see your drawing come to life with depth and tactile qualities. No experience is required; just a curious mind as well as a sense of line, texture and experimentation. This workshop is a fun, creative and sustainable way to learn new skills in printmaking.
This workshop is suitable for participants aged 8 years and over; however, children between 8 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum of 10 participants.
Sponsored by the National Book Council and Faber-Castell.
