About this Event

Special event for the Spinners Mill Open Day and Creative Spins Open Studios on the 30th November 2024. I will be offering bespoke tintype portrait sessions at a reduced price.
A tintype is a direct positive photograph on a thin sheet of metal, using the Victorian wet plate collodion process. The process involves working with wet chemistry from beginning to end, hence its name wet plate, all processed in hand and a in a traditional darkoom at the studio. You are more than welcome to observe the full process as part of the portrait session.
From 2025 I will be offering regular wet plate portrait sessions from my studio at Leigh Spinners Mill.
