Tintern Abbey and Wye Valley - Advent in the Valley

As the time of Jesus’s birth drew near, Mary and Joseph journeyed to Bethlehem… Preparing for Christmas we too set out on a journey. From historic Tintern Abbey we walk in the spirit of pilgrimage through the lovely Wye Valley. Along the Way we’ll see part of Offa's Dyke, discover Brockweir village with its whitewashed Moravian Chapel on the banks of the river, admire some wonderful views only seen at this time of year, when the trees have shed their leaves… and listen to readings and reflections for Advent. The walk is circular and at six miles, of medium length with moderate terrain involving some rocky sections which can be slippery underfoot if it's wet. Please bring a packed lunch. We will end the day back at Tintern with a café visit for Hot Chocolate, or a mug of steaming coffee or Tea!
