Ramaine Barreiro-Lloyd started impersonating Tina on stage at the age of 12 and is still going strong in 2024, some 30 years later. Tina’s Turn includes all your favourite Tina hits, including The Best, Proud Mary, Nutbush City Limits, Let’s stay Together, Private Dancer and many more.
Ramaine’s (The Diva of Diva’s and the Queen of Bling) vibrant personality and powerhouse vocals will have you enthralled from the minute she steps up on stage to create an absolutely unforgettable experience. She starred in her first major production, Bugsy Malone, at the age of 9. At 12 she joined forces with Emo Adams, Alistair Izobell and Loukmaan Adams to form the group Nu Fancy, which toured South Africa along with The Rockets and PJ Powers.
Her career highlights include working the hotel circuit in the UAE for four years, more than ten years performing on the local Barnyard Theatre circuit and directing many of the shows with Duck Chowles. She has starred in several local musicals, a television performance, various theatre residencies as well as countless productions in South Africa as well as abroad.
Tina’s Turn features a full band that help to create a powerhouse performance.
Bernie Damon on keyboards and backing vocals is a multi-talented musician from Cape Town. He has been playing since the age of nine. He was the drummer for the gospel group ‘African Sonrise’, and toured all over the USA. Bernie then switched over to playing the piano and never looked back. He has performed in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Oman. and South Africa. During his time working on the hotel circuit in the UAE, he teamed up with Ramaine Barreiro-Lloyd, where they performed together for several years in the 1990’s. Joining the Tina’s Turn band is coming full circle for Bernie, performing with Ramaine again.
Drummer, Alan Lloyd started his drums at SACS High School. After school he went on to play in many local bands and theatre shows during the 90’s. From 2000 onwards he performed as a permanent drummer for The Barnyard Theatre Group nationally, spanning 15 years of his professional career and performing in well over 4 500 shows during that period. Alan now continues to play as session musician for various tribute bands around Cape Town.
Rob Stemmett on bass guitar brings an accomplished, versatile and easy-going music style to the rythym section. He has worked with many successful bands and shows in Southern Africa and Europe. Highlights in his career include performances at the North Sea Jazz Festival, 13 different shows in Barnyard Theatres countrywide and touring Belgium and The Netherlands with The Boulevard Blues Band.
Lead guitarist and backing vocalist, Andy Murray is well known on the local music scene. He initially studied classical guitar and then jazz under Merton Barrow at Jazz Workshop. With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, Andy has developed a profound understanding of various musical styles, from rock and blues to jazz and classical. Andy toured as supporting act for Chubby Checker and Freddie and the Dreamers with Blitz on their South African tour. He has played with local legends Andre De Villiers and Mike Faure. Andy joined Mike McCullagh in the Sixty Something and Station Seventy shows. After that, he joined Duck Chowles and performed in various productions including The Fab 4, Roll Over Beethoven, Glory Days and Sticky Fingers. Andy also musically directed some of these shows. Andy has played in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Dubai, Bahrain and Mauritius.
