TIMERAISER ARTS is an art auction where you can bid time to win art. Originating in Canada, Timeraiser has expanded across the world, with its most recent edition in Taiwan. Now, we’re bringing this exciting initiative to Bucharest, Romania.
Join us on JUNE 21, 2025 (3:00-6:00 PM) for an inspiring event where art meets social impact. This unique experience allows you to support emerging artists in Romania, engage with local nonprofit organizations, and give back to your community—by bidding your volunteer hours instead of money to win art.
HOW IT WORKS
The Timeraiser will exhibit a selection of artworks curated by our in-house curator, Alejandra Sánchez. Instead of paying with money, you bid time—volunteer hours pledged to local nonprofit organizations. Each artwork has a maximum bid of 120 hours, and winning bidders commit to completing their volunteer hours within a year. Once your hours are fulfilled, the artwork is yours to take home.
EVENT SCHEDULE
HOUR 1 – OPENING RECEPTION
。Take a look at the exhibition, enjoy a drink, and meet representatives from local nonprofit organizations. Learn about their missions and discover how you can contribute your time and skills to meaningful causes.
HOUR 2 – SILENT BIDDING
。Pledge the number of volunteer hours you are willing to commit for the artwork of your choice.
HOUR 3 – WINNERS SIGN CONTRACTS & AFTERPARTY
。Winning bidders will sign a contract pledging to complete the hours they bid within one year.
。As for everyone attending, stay for the afterparty and enjoy an evening of art and community.
