ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Anthony Passante-Contaldi
Anthony Passante-Contaldi, is a pianist and composer who is a lover of the past. This prodigious pianist brings to life a collection of original compositions that reflect a deep connection to the Romantic era's rich tapestry of emotion and expression.
This event will mark his debut as a composer, unveiling a series of compositions inspired by the grandeur and emotive landscapes characteristic of the Romantic period.
This recital is not just a performance, it's a personal journey through Passante-Contaldi's musical narrative. The original compositions, carefully crafted and passionately performed, serve as a testament to his artistic sensibility and dedication to carrying forward the Romantic tradition.
Repertoire: Nocturne in F Major for cello and piano, reverie Lost in B Minor, original compostions
Gabe Preston
Gabe Preston, a virtuoso woodwind multi-instrumentalist, is renowned for their exceptional talent in the realms of classical and jazz and co-creator of the event concert series.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Preston honed his skills through rigorous training at Temple University Boyer College of Music. This foundation laid the groundwork for his distinctive style, which seamlessly weaves classical precision with the improvisational spirit of jazz.

Emilyrose Ristine
Philadelphia native Emilyrose Ristine is a graduate of the Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University, where she completed a Master’s degree in Percussion Performance and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory with a concentration in Piano Performance.
Ms. Ristine enjoys an active freelance performing and teaching career. She’s currently an itinerant percussion teacher with the School District of Philadelphia and teaches private piano lessons at Elite Music Academy. Her freelance career includes performances with the New World Symphony, Reading Symphony Orchestra, Bay Atlantic Symphony, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, and The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. She has also served as assistant music director and accompanist for the Delaware Valley Opera Company. She has performed and recorded several albums with The Philadelphia Percussion + Piano Project, a chamber music ensemble which seeks to underscore the variety and depth of the chamber percussion and piano repertoire. Ms. Ristine can be heard on both percussion and piano on a number of their recent chamber music albums and recordings, including No Strings Attached, Radiant Outbursts: (In)Human Progress, George Antheil's Ballet Mécanique, and the Philadelphia premiere of Steve Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians. Recently, she appeared at the 100th anniversary Vibraphone Festival at Penn State University, performing Juri Seo’s solo work for vibraphone.
During her collegiate career, Emilyrose has frequently performed with the Temple University Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, Contemporary Music Ensemble, New Music Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble. Her primary teachers have included pianists Dolly Krasnopolsky and Mikhail Yanovitsky, percussionists Phillip O’Banion, Angela Zator-Nelson and William Wozniak, jazz vibraphonist Tony Miceli, and Broadway percussionist Rolando Morales-Matos.

Leigh Brown
Leigh Brown is a versatile Philadelphian cellist with a passion for performing a multitude of genres. Former principal cellist of the Temple University Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jose-Luis Dominguez, they have worked with the Philadelphia String Quartet to play pop, rock, and jazz music, premiered multiple operas with ENAensemble, a modern opera company, and played viola da gamba in Temple University’s Early Music Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Heather Miller Lardin. Currently they study with Amy Frost-Baumgarten, principal cellist of the Kennedy Center Opera Orchestra and a faculty member at the Eastern Music Festival. They have performed at the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina and at the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily. Along with premiering multiple major crossover works with the Temple University Symphony Orchestra, one of which was nominated for a Grammy, they have also been a substitute cellist for the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, and have played with the Bay Atlantic Symphony, the Atlantic Coast Opera Festival, and the Choristers. Upcoming performances include an opera premiere in New York and Philadelphia with the Alter Ego Chamber Opera.
