TIME TRAVEL - Opening up the possibilities

Time travel has captivated human imagination for centuries. No wonder it has always been a top trending theme in fiction literature and movies. Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine are all-time classics, and artists haven’t ceased to explore even further the possibility of travelling back and forth in time. Just think how many movies have appeared in the last 30 years, starting from the Back to the Future and The Terminator films to The Butterfly Effect (2004) and Interstellar (2014). The appeal of the idea of time travel stems mainly from the intrinsic craving of man to be able to fix things that went wrong in the past and to explore the exciting future before it has happened. But however unthinkable this sounds, the most absurd thing about time travel is that it is theoretically possible. We won’t go deep here into dense scientific reasoning, but will only mention that if wormholes do exist, as Einstein suggested in 1935, they can act as bridges connecting two points, distant from each other in time and space, through shortcuts. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how wormholes can be used as excellent times machines!

Although not a single wormhole has been officially discovered yet, some people claim to have travelled back and forth in time.

How do we know that time travel is possible?

More than 100 years ago, a famous scientist named Albert Einstein came up with an idea about how time works. He called it relativity. This theory says that time and space are linked together.

One day in 1935, Victor Goddard, a commander from British Royal Air Force, was flying to Edinburgh, and during the flight, he passed over a decrepit airfield in Derm, Scotland. All that Goddard saw from above was a lonely farm and some cattle.

• A few days later, on his way back to England, he took the same route. However, his plane was caught in a storm, and with all the whirling and swinging going on, the pilot got so disoriented that he lost control of the machine for some minutes. Fortunately, the storm ended as unexpectedly as it started, he regained control, and was hoping to be able to get the plane back on the right track by following some familiar landmarks on the ground. He looked down expecting to see Derm airfield as he sensed he was approaching it, but what he saw left him totally flabbergasted. The airfield was renovated, four brand new planes painted yellow sat on the runway, and some mechanics in blue overalls were attending to them. All of a sudden, the storm hit back again, and rainy clouds swamped Goddard’s machine. The guy got lucky once again and managed to land safely at his home base.

• His friends back then were very skeptical about this incredible story, but 40 years later, convinced as he was about what he saw, Victor Goddard retold the story in detail in a book which was published under the title Flight Towards Reality.

Do we all travel in the same time?

Although humans can't hop into a time machine and go back in time, we do know that clocks on airplanes and satellites travel at a different speed than those on Earth. We all travel in time! We travel one year in time between birthdays, for example. And we are all traveling in time at approximately the same speed: 1 second per second.

• Everything travels through spacetime at the speed of light. Me, you, the cat (even Schrödinger's cat), the Earth, the sun, bits and bytes, and any particles including photons (light particles).
• Note that I said spacetime. Of course, we travel at different speeds through space, we might even be standing still in our frame of reference. This frame of reference is moving relatively in other frames of reference, for example you might be sitting still while reading this, but you are on Earth (I’m guessing), which is spinning at 1,600 km/h at the equator, and Earth is also moving around the Sun (107,000 km/h), and the Sun is moving around the center of the Milky Way (828,000 km/h). Milky Way is also moving in relation to any other galaxy at 600 km/s or 2,160,000 km/h.
• But none of the above mentioned, except for photons, travel at the speed of light through space (which is 300,000 km/s or 1,080,000,000 km/h for comparison). Our motion through spacetime, on the other hand, is different.
• We all travel at exactly the speed of light through spacetime.

What is the direction of time?

One of the distinctive things about time is that it has a direction — from past to future. A cup of hot coffee left at room temperature always cools down; it never heats up. Your cellphone loses battery charge when you use it; it never gains charge.

How do we understand time?

Time appears to have a direction, to be inherently directional: the past lies behind us and is fixed and immutable, and accessible by memory or written documentation; the future, on the other hand, lies ahead and is not necessarily fixed, and, although we can perhaps predict it to some extent, we have no firm evidence or proof of it.

Therefore, as nuclear physicist Stephen Hawking points out, “time” is actually defined as the “direction” in which entropy or disorder increases.1 We psychologically understand “time” because it is the direction in which entropy increases.

The idea of an arrow of time was first explored and developed to any degree by the British astronomer and physicist Sir Arthur Eddington back in 1927, and the origin of the phrase is usually attributed to him. What interested Eddington is that exactly the same arrow of time would apply to an alien race on the other side of the universe as applies to us. It is therefore nothing to do with our biology or psychology, but with the way the universe is. The arrow of time is not the same thing as time itself, but a feature of the universe and its contents and the way it has evolved.

IS THE ARROW OF TIME AN ILLUSION?

As we have seen in the section on Relativistic Time, according to the Theory of Relativity, the reality of the universe can be described by four-dimensional space-time, so that time does not actually “flow”, it just “is”. The perception of an arrow of time that we have in our everyday life therefore appears to be nothing more than an illusion of consciousness in this model of the universe, an emergent quality that we happen to experience due to our particular kind of existence at this particular point in the evolution of the universe.

Perhaps even more interesting and puzzling is the fact that, although events and processes at the macroscopic level – the behaviour of bulk materials that we experience in everyday life – are quite clearly time-asymmetric (i.e. natural processes DO have a natural temporal order, and there is an obvious forward direction of time), physical processes and laws at the microscopic level, whether classical, relativistic or quantum, are either entirely or mostly time-symmetric. If a physical process is physically possible, then generally speaking so is the same process run backwards, so that, if you were to hypothetically watch a movie of a physical process, you would not be able to tell if it is being played forwards or backwards, as both would be equally plausible.

In theory, therefore, most of the laws of physics do not necessarily specify an arrow of time. There is, however, an important exception: the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

Time Portals

Time portals are doorways in time, employed in various fiction genres, especially science fiction and fantasy, to transport characters to the past or future.

They differ from time machines in being a permanent or semi-permanent fixture linking specific points in time, and thus are an especially useful plot device when the plot involves characters moving many times back and forth.

Time portals can be represented as vortices of energy, which allow matter to travel from one point in time to another by passing through the portal, or may appear as an ordinary doorway.

OR SO, the real world wants us to think. In actual reality, though, Time Travel and Time Portals may be both possible, and real things: Einstein showed that time can be altered by speed by way of his own time travel equation. An example of this would be realized when traveling through space in a rocket that’s almost as fast as the speed of light. Time would considerably slow down in space, though while on Earth, many more years would have passed.

Time is sequential only where the space exists and where there are forms and their dynamic interaction. In this specific case we are talking about our material three-dimensional plain. Outside the world of forms, the “flow” of the time - as a chronological sequence - doesn’t have sense and it exists accordingly with different dynamics and meanings.

Time is the first effect of the meeting of laws from which the world of forms is born. Inside the time, each form – since its first manifestation and perception – determines the beginning of the flow, where cause and effect realize the temporal link between one event and another inside a precise plain of existence.

The universe of forms is composed by many plains of existence, echo-words and parallel realities which exist also in ultra-luminal dimensions.

WISDOM OF THE FALL

Light came Out of the Darkness. When life fell from the Heavens, Wisdom began. The Archangels that were part of the Fall covered a third of the sky, ...they were many - and Archangel. LECTURES

the christian|TOREN development courses consist of 8-10 hour days. These are packed with many, and varied, training environments. The primary format is the fast-paced, multimedia, focused Training Lectures. Every course, and each day will have one or more these. Class size might vary depending on the course, but we rarely would have more than 16 participants since everyone will need to be interactively involved. We will extend the hours in the day if needed to ensure everyone is properly experienced.

PRESENTATIONS

Every course will have formal presentations in a comfortable and engaging environment. These are spellbinding performances where your instructor christian Toren will literally channel for an hour or more the scope of the course. Most students share that the experience was mind-blowing, and that it creates considerable excitement about undertaking the remainder of the program. This discussion format allows for considerable question and answer time which can prove mind-blowing, because - there is always an answer. You are in good hands at the christian|TOREN training center.

PROJECT ROOM

The christian|TOREN development courses all include a fair amount of actual practice and student participation. Every day, in fact, will include these real-world demonstrations of the skill sets being developed, and every student gets equal attention and focus. All courses WILL require the student prove they have learned and understood the skill set, and each student will demonstrate their new abilities throughout the course. The Project Room have ample development and project desks and space to perfect their craft, and to use the training materials. Every student will be interacting with every other student when demonstrating their progress, and each will get peer review. We deliberately make our environment more demanding than the real world so we, and you, have confidence in your new-found abilities, and training.
