Find calm and connection at this special new workshop combining relaxation and breathing techniques with mindful creativity. The event is led by Lucy Monkman and Renni Prelle, building on their extensive expertise of delivering arts and wellbeing workshops, so you can be confident that you will be looked after as you explore new ways to find inner peace amidst the stresses of everyday life.
During the workshop, Lucy will introduce mindful and expressive creative activities inspired by Kandinsky and Matisse, helping you to create your own artworks to take home. Renni will guide you in simple breathing and relaxation techniques that you can build into your day to relieve stress and find calm. Activities are suitable for all, and will take place in a beautiful and inspirational setting, the medieval church of All Saints North Street - a peaceful haven tucked away from the bustle of York City Centre. You should leave the workshop feeling more refreshed, confident and calm, armed with techniques to sustain a sense of wellbeing at home.
Tickets cost just £15 (plus booking fee) which includes all tuition, materials, and refreshments.
All Saints North Street is wheelchair accessible except for the chancel, high altar, and anchorhold (open for special events only) though some floors are uneven due to the historic nature of the building. An accessible toilet is available during events. The church is usually quiet and peaceful, though there may be some noise during services, events, larger tours or building works.
