Tim Murray brings his spooky debut comedy hour WITCHES! to the Arsht Center. The show is a mix of standup and original comedy songs about his favorite pop culture witches. Murray is like a gay Bo Burnham, but painted green and doing drag!In WITCHES!, Murray uses hilarious personal stories about growing up a closeted, feminine boy who tried hard to pass as straight to avoid being burned at the stake. He will have you howling at the moon, cackling at his jokes and crying (but hopefully not melting).
The show is a tribute to LGBTQia people and how we discover our magic once we find our coven. Murray speaks to the many queer people who feel as if they have to hide themselves to fit in and how their powers grow stronger once they find their queer family.
