Australians were to experience freedom in private & public life, in social & religious matters, in the economic & political realms.

The aim was – and is – an egalitarian and just society.

The Inaugural Tim Fischer Oration is an opportunity to give thanks for what we have received.

It calls forth young people to protect and promote the common good through ethical attitudes and action in public and political life.
