Chicago drummer and composer Tim Daisy presents two ensembles at the historic Hungry Brain in Chicago's Roscoe Village neighborhood. Set one includes two veterans from the international improvised music scene: Josh Berman (cornet) and Jason Roebke (bass) This freely improvised trio will mark it's second live performance with plans for more work in the near future. Set two includes a brand new group which will premier a new suite of tunes composed by Tim titled "December Music." This new ensemble includes three of the most celebrated musicians working in contemporary music with Jon Irabagon on reeds, Mai Sugimoto on alto saxophone and Ethan Philion on bass.
