Amy Kucharik and Tiger Moan invite special guests each month and push the tables aside to make room for dancing. This month, we feature a special blues line dance lesson at 7pm (included in the cover) taught by Julie Brown!This month's dance lesson will be a special blues line dance choreographed and taught by Julie Brown. You'll learn moves that you can incorporate into your solo or partner dancing. No partner or experience required. Please arrive before 7pm to participate.
Amy Kucharik & Tiger Moan: Specializing in vintage blues with sass and class, Tiger Moan is in the third year of their residency playing first Sundays every month at the Burren Backroom. Tiger Moan has entertained blues and swing dancers at events such as Sweet Molasses Blues, Blues Union, Yale Swing & Blues and MIT's Bread & Bones fusion dance. The band is known for covering the best blues standards and for funky originals with innovative lyrics. With Amy Kucharik on vocals, ukulele, tenor guitar and harmonica and a rotating cast of top-notch musicians on keys, upright bass, horns, washboard and kit percussion, and more.

Julie Brown (any/all pronouns) is a Boston-based blues dance teacher, DJ, choreographer, competitor, organizer, and enthusiastic student. She has been participating in blues dance since 2004 and has since gone on to teach blues dancing around the globe and won many national competitions. As a teacher, Julie aims to help students connect with and understand blues dance’s deep roots, find their own voice, and connect to themselves & others authentically, joyfully, and respectfully. Julie has taught blues dancing in Austin, Boston, San Francisco, Seoul, London, Chicago, Zurich, and many places in between. They are grateful to have won or placed in many solo & partnered blues competitions, including at bluesSHOUT!, Blues Muse, Mile High Blues, Steel City Blues, Northstar Blues, and more.
