Tiësto (born Tijs Michiel Verwest), is a Dutch musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. In 1994, Tijs Verwest conned his pseudonym: Tiësto. Today, the DJ and dance music producer is a GRAMMY Award-winning, platinum-certified, international icon. He is the only artist to ever hold the titles of “The Greatest DJ of All Time“ courtesy of Mixmag, “#1 DJ“ according to Rolling Stone, and “The Godfather of EDM“ as proclaimed by Billboard. After making history in 2004 as the first DJ to pen the Olympic Games, he remains a sought-after headliner everywhere from Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra to Tomorrowland. From his high-profile residency at Hakkasan to his crossover success, Tiësto created the blueprint that defines what it means to be a success in today’s dance music world. Despite his sonic evolution, he says he has never lost his connection with the crowd. I grew up being a real DJ, so I have the ability to feel the audience reacting to what I’m playing.
