Tides of Time: Exploring SG's Maritime Story (Young Explorer Edition)

Recommended for children aged 5 to 12 with an accompanying adult, this guided experience invites families to discover Singapore's rich maritime heritage together through the stories of our dedicated Singapore Maritime Gallery volunteers.

There is plenty to engage the curious young minds. From ancient trading vessels of the 3rd century to the global supply chains of today, children will understand how Singapore grew into one of the world's most important ports.

The 1603 capture of the Santa Catarina, which took place right off Singapore's shores, went on to influence the foundations of international maritime law, a story that fascinates both children and adults as a reminder that Singapore's place in history runs deeper than many realise.

Along the way, families can also explore rare archaeological artefacts recovered from shipwrecks, offering a fascinating glimpse into the trade networks that shaped our region long before colonial times.
