About this Event
In this hands-on costume workshop, explore how design tells a story - through texture, colour, and character. Gather inspiration from the museum’s collections, then reimagine discarded fabrics and plastics into bold creations inspired by maritime and queer histories.
Experiment with surface manipulation techniques such as appliqué and pleating with sustainable, DIY flair as you craft a unique accessory to elevate your Fierce Queens look.
No prior experience necessary. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fabrics, costume pieces and idea drafts. Out-of-the-box upcycling options are also welcome.
These workshops are FREE to attend, but booking is required as we have limited spaces available. If you have any access requirements, please contact [email protected]
