Hello Glasgow!Have you ever been to Dockyard Social? If not, your missing out! A huge venue with food and drink trucks for a fun night out with plenty of space to mingle!
We're hosting our Valentine's event with Dockyard Social and we're adding a twist.
As it's Valentine's, we want you to give you an even better chance of finding a match on the night. So we've also partnered with Matchbox a AI match making company.
No swiping and waiting, whoever is in the room will all answer a questionnaire and then be matched with someone in the room! Then following the clues you need to go find them!
**Matching is by Matchbox**. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimizes for long-term compatibility, based on values—but it’s up to you to see if you’ll click.
*How it works:*
- Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
- The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
- After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!- If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.
- At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.
**Event Structure:**Please be on time
- 7:00pm—the event begins on time.
- 8:00pm—doors close, The Algorithm begins computing matches
- 8:30pm—a series of clues
- 9:00pm—matches revealed
- 11:00pm—event concludes
**Q: What if I don't get a match?**
A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.
✨ £15 ticket early bird, £20 ticket general admission. Arrive pre 8pm, it’s guaranteed entry. Arrive post 8pm, it’s one in, one out.

🎫 When the event sells out, there will be more tickets released at 8pm on the day of the event and entrance will be at the venues/hosts discretion.

You do not need to match with someone on the app to come to an event.
Many attendees (40%) come by themselves, so even if you’re the only single in your friendship group, don’t hesitate to join us solo. You’ll find yourself in great company.
