📣📣Calling all lindy hoppers, balboa-heads, Charleston nuts, and shag enthusiasts! Come on out to Portland's longest-running swing dance, bringing you fantastic live jazz music on Norse Hall's magnificent floor.
Get ready to swing!—Ashley Seaton with the TK Swing All-Stars is Portland’s hottest jazz ensemble, tailor-made for dancers and lovers of timeless tunes. Fronted by the enchanting Ashley Seaton, whose vocal stylings evoke the golden era of jazz divas like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan, this band brings elegance and soul to every note. Ashley’s voice floats effortlessly over the rhythm, inviting listeners to lose themselves in the music.
Joining forces with renowned swing guitarist and bandleader, Tracy Kim, a master of Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian’s vintage flair, the TK Swing All-Stars are a powerhouse of Portland’s finest jazz talent. The lineup features trumpet virtuoso Gavin Bondy of Pink Martini fame, and woodwind wizard Dave Evans, whose clarinet and saxophone have graced stages with Bridgetown Sextet, Hot Lovin’ Jazz Babies, and other beloved swing outfits. Supplying the swingin' foundation is the rhythm guitarist Joe Kim and upright bassist of Dax Smith.

Our Foundations Lesson is an hour-long beginner lesson from 6:45PM-7:45PM (and is included with the dance cover!). The lesson is great for folks who are new to dancing, curious about dancing, or just love dancing! Topics will lean more towards Lindy Hop or Charleston depending on the band playing each Thursday night.

*Doors to lessons will be closed at 7PM. Dancers will not be admitted to lesson after this time but are welcome to wait in the downstairs lounge area.
