After a few years in exile, Pupy Costello, Wisconsin's hardest honky tonking classic country and western swing crooner, has resurfaced with a hot new band of ace players ripping off classic juke joint country and western swing tunes. If you like your honky tonk fully basted, then this is the band for you. Stewed, screwed, and tattooed, and with a hefty helping of dysfunction, the New Hiram Kings play from a canon that only they know, and nothing is off limits. Southern country regional hits from the 50s, 1920s hokum blues, western swing chestnuts, and -most of all- hard core honky tonk drinking songs, they pick the best of the best from a deep treasure trove of American music.
