Thursday Night Coffeehouse is a celebration of up to four local and touring artists coming together in an intimate, coffeehouse setting at the venerable Artichoke Community Music. It is a wonderful opportunity to hear artists of all levels in a listening room setting. It is also important to note that each artist is donating their performance to contribute to Artichoke's mission. Because of this we encourage our audiences to tip the performers if they are able. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and light snacks are available for purchase at the bar. Doors - 6:30pm
Show - 7:00pm

JO ALEXIS--
Jo Alexis weaves folk, jazz, and pop into unforgettable songs
(For fans of Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, or Phoebe Bridgers)
Jo Alexis is a songwriter’s songwriter—crafting vivid, emotionally resonant melodies and unforgettable songs that span folk, jazz, pop, and electronic soundscapes. With over 150 original works to her name, she writes with both heart and precision, drawing comparisons to Sinead O’Connor, Joni Mitchell, and Sarah McLachlan. Jo’s projects reflect her range: the jazz-folk trio Happy For No Reason blends poetic storytelling with rich harmonies, while her cosmic synth-pop project GALEXI explores otherworldly themes and shimmering pop hooks.
A devoted collaborator, Jo co-wrote and recorded a beloved children’s album with longtime friend and mentor Arlie Conner, continuing to lend her voice to his projects. She has also worked with Brad Rabuchin (Ray Charles) and Jef Lee (Roberta Flack), and shared the stage with Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary. Whether performing solo or with her bands, Jo’s songs invite listeners into worlds both intimate and expansive—proof of her belief that the right melody and emotional note can transform the heart.
