Carroline Shines is a local blues legend. Born and raised in Tuscaloosa Alabama, she is the daughter of the late great Legendary Blues Singer Johnny Shines.She began singing as a young child and has shared the stage with many great artists such as Tank, Fantasia and BBKing to name a few.
She was inducted into the Alabama Blues Hall of Fame in 2012.
She began the annual Johnny Shines blues festival in Tuscaloosa more than a decade ago. The proceeds from the festival are awarded to high school music students. She serves on the board of the Alabama Blues Project.
