Stephen Lee Bruner, the bass maestro, funk virtuoso and genre-defying producer better known by his alter ego Thundercat, is a musical genius whose sound flits between jazz-funk fusion, electronica, soul, hip hop, R&B, psychedelia and even more distant genres.
There is no artist quite like Thundercat, winner of two GRAMMY Awards. On the one hand, he is a prodigy who is regarded worldwide as one of the greatest bassists in the world; on the other, his artistic vision has garnered more than 3.3 billion streams. He is an artist who can win the Miles Davis Award at the Montreal Jazz Festival for his contribution to jazz, while also creating songs that pop up time and time again on TikTok — with ‘Funny Thing’, ‘Dragonball Durag’ and ‘Them Changes’ accounting for 7 billion views combined.
After two years of silence, he is finally back with new music, ‘I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time’ and ‘Children of the Baked Potato’ (featuring Remi Wolf), and immediately announced a tour, including a concert at AB.
