Thunder Hop Park Over at the Kumeu hot rod show.One of our NZMTG members owns this event and has offered a great deal for our NZMTG members & Thunder Hop custom car owners to come and enjoy this great event.
You can arrive on Thursday and get set up and don't have to depart until Monday so we don't have to deal with any traffic problems trying to get in and out of the event area.
We will have a social area set up for you to watch all the action happening around the event and to meet up with other social car owners and have a drink or two.
There is so much to do and see at this event please visit their website ( Kumeu Hot Rod Festival ) and view what is happening over the weekend.
All entry fees must be paid directly to the kumeu hot rod festival.
Motorhome / Caravan for two people is $100.00 to stay from Thursday to Monday
( all food / liquor and extra costs must be paid by yourself ).
Thunder Hop Park Over Location at the Kumeu Hot Rod Festival.
We have a set area in the bottom field where you can come and park up your motorhome / caravan along with your custom car / hot rod beside you, so you can keep your eyes on it all the time along with others watching over it.
Are you ready for another great social event at the best parkover for the Kumeu Hot Rod Festival in Jan 2024.
The NZ Motorhome Travel Group called the NZMTG who started the Thunder Hop due to how many of their members had great looking custom cars has offered a number of big sites for those who need that room to park up their cars beside them.
There will be a social area in place for all to enjoy as you know there will be no grumpy bastards in it, this will be located up in the main area, so bring your chairs and refreshments along.
This will be for NZMTG members and registered Thunder Hop park over people only.
Park Over Location:
Bottom field next to the two story building, site will be laid out.
SITES:
We have put in place larger sites for those who own a motorhome or caravan and have a custom car they would like to have parked beside them for this event.
So If you are bringing an extra trailer or hot rod / custom car and require extra room then this is perfect for you.
DATES:
19th - 21st Jan 2024
ARRIVAL:
Once you have paid at the main entrance, make your way down to the bottom field to the park over location laid out beside the two story building located on the bottom field.
WATER:
Fresh water on site right beside our parkover location.
POWER:
NO powered sites
SITES:
Will be given out as you arrive.
To confirm your Thunder Hop Park Over Site:
Email [email protected] and he will email you the details to confirm your spot in the Thunder Hop park over area.
Your site in this area is only confirmed once you have paid your $30.00 fee.
So remember we only cater for social custom car owners as that is what Thunder Hop is about.
Booking Terms:
If you cancel or just don't turn up your $30.00 fee is nonrefundable or transferable.
Costs:
$100.00 for two people plus your unit to stay up to four nights
( this must be paid to the Kumeu hot rod festival )$30.00 to be paid to Thunder Hop to park over in the set area and be part of the social fun.

If this event gets postponed to another date by the event organizer's, your $30.00 Thunder Hop fee will be transferred to their next date put in place by the event organizer's.
Thunder Hop Terms of the Park Over:
A ) All rubbish must be removed by yourself and your site to be left how you found it.
B ) By choosing to stay on site means you agree to abide by the rules of the event & laws of the land.
C ) No Grumpy Bastard’s or Wenches allowed !!.
D ) No costs can be claimed against the NZMTG or Thunder Hop for any loss or damage to your unit or car.
