Thugshop Presents – Hiroko Yamamura

Hiroko Yamamaura kickstarts our January as she lands on our purple floors on the 10th.

The Chicago-based DJ and producer has been a staple of the Midwest underground, renowned for a sound that’s built on straight up techno and acid-driven sets. Heavily inspired by her gothic and industrial roots, Yamamura often incorporates that into her work, as well as tapping into classic sci-fi and anime.

She has toured all across the globe, headlining clubs from the likes of Berghain, Soundbar, The Cause, alongside festivals like Thailand’s Wonderfruit, Detroit's Movement, and Chicago’s ARC.

As for Yamamura’s productions, they’ve landed on labels such as Trax Records, Impact Mechanics, Apollo Music, and Detroit Sampled.
