This workshop is designed for potters' that are interested in dabbling with new tools! In this class, we'll focus on using ribs to enhance your wheel-thrown forms. You'll be provided clay to create multiple forms and you'll have the opportunity to try out ribs of different materials, shapes, and sizes to see what works best for you. We'll be featuring ribs from Garrity Tools and Troy Bungart and guiding you through best practices to achieve your desired outcome.
This workshop includes bisque firing for any your finished pieces, which you can keep to continue your maker's journey. We'd love to have to back in the studio to glaze them with a day pass or you can save them for our next glazing workshop!
Please wear clothes you’re okay with getting messy and plan to remove all jewelry. Long hair will need to be pulled back and short nails are recommended.
Dabblers are expanding their skills. This may be their second class, but they’re ready to play in the mud and continue building their ceramics knowledge. Learn more about the Maker's Journey at wheelhousecle.com/journey.
