Throwing Light Together Tour - New Orleans

To help unify the LGBTQIA+ community and get work done in our local communities, we have decided to launch the Throwing Light Together Tour for 2026 around the US!
Our THIRD panel of the 2026 will be held at Allways Lounge & Cabaret in New Orleans on Sunday, July 5th at 3:00pm!
The Together Tour is essentially live community panels, each, for an hour with questions at the end. The panels will consist of a mix of local business owners, titleholders, community activists, and members of each city’s community.
The panel topic of these grave discussions will be greatly about how to move forward "together: as unified front as the challenges we face become more difficult. These are solution-focused discussions. We are aware of our community threats, so we are delving into how we respond to issues in and outside our community.
We want to focus on the building and strengthening our relationships and support within our community. The removal of barriers between us creates opportunities to find joy. We must do more than be visible. We must also act. We can create shared ground in which all of the LGBTQIA+ community will weave together, holding hands. Because, TOGETHER, we are stronger. Now is the time for us to be UNITED in our perseverance of surviving in a world where we will thrive. It's time to remember our history and not repeat it.
We could discuss getting bars to work together, creating a culture of kindness, “LGB always with the T,” what community issues should be discussed publicly or privately, social media
responsibility, ending defamation, and so much more!
New Orleans Panel:
Paribe Meyer
Amos Distefano
