About this Event
Whether you’re a toy collector, digital artist, or just someone who loves Pokemon, SpongeBob SquarePants, or Hello Kitty and wants to create something all your own, this beginner-friendly workshop will walk you through the process of designing and 3D sculpting your very own character from scratch.
We’ll start with a quick dive into character design and explore how to tap into your inner child’s imagination through sketching. Then, using Nomad Sculpt — a powerful, portable app for digital sculpting— you’ll learn how to block out your first character step-by-step.
You’ll have plenty of time for free play, experimentation, and creativity before we wrap up with a fun show & tell and a Q&A on what’s next in your 3D journey.
What to Bring:
- Pre-download Nomad Sculpt app on a tablet with a stylus (cost $20 but you can keep forever) Link to app for IOS and Android
- Your curiosity, nostalgia, and open-hearted imagination

About Sunset Commons:
Carmen and Steven started Sunset Commons to provide a space to connect and build community through arts and craft activities led by talented local artists. Inspired by a love for creativity and a desire to foster connection in the Sunset District, we envisioned a “third space” where neighbors can gather, unwind, and form meaningful relationships. Our mission is to empower self-expression, boost confidence, and offer an inclusive haven for everyone, from introverts seeking a calm environment to those enjoying health-focused traditional teas. Sunset Commons is not just a business - it’s our way of enriching the community we love and to the city we both grew up in.
*Our events are often photographed and filmed so we can share the fun with our community. If you don’t want to be on camera, no worries—let us know before the event.
