About this Event
The changes in a family can echo through a child’s life—sometimes in ways adults don’t fully see.
Join us for “Through Their Eyes: Supporting Children as Families Change,” a free community event inspired by the SPLIT Outreach Project. In this powerful two-part documentary series, children and teens speak candidly about what it was like when their parents’ relationship changed.
This compassionate film helps us understand what young people wish adults knew when families go through separation or divorce. By listening to their voices, we can better support children to feel seen, safe, and understood.
We’ll screen both Split: The Young Years and Split UP: The Teen Years, followed by a guided conversation with:
Ellen Bruno (filmmaker) and Christina McGhee (parenting expert) will be available virtually for a Q&A hosted by Dr. Debora Gama Lima (4Vim Consulting) and Anna Dennin (SplitSmart with Anna).
Together, we’ll reflect on what these stories mean for children, and how parents, caregivers, professionals, and communities can offer support with greater compassion and less conflict.
This event is not just for parents.
It’s for therapists, educators, legal and court professionals, and anyone who plays a role in a child’s life. It takes a village.
Free admission – limited seating – reserve your spot today!
Free popcorn and soda provided.
